I'll Still Smile

So, there are a million reasons why we need to get marijuana legalized AT LEAST for medical use in Minnesota and Florida, but if you don’t mind I’m going to be selfish for two seconds and talk about the reason that affects me.

Jobs.

I’m searching for jobs all over my home town in Minnesota right now, and most of them drug test. I’ve had to say no to an application at so many places because even though I haven’t smoked in over 2 weeks, my drug test would still show up positive for THC.

On top of that, I have this internship in Florida in the fall that drug tests. So I currently cannot smoke because I want to be sure it’s out of my system by the time I start this job.

And it’s not like I’m just a recreational user bitchin’ about how I can’t get high. I use marijuana for medicinal purposes. It’s been the most effective medicine for my anxiety and depression.

Anyway though, if Minnesota and Florida were medical marijuana states, I would have a med-card, and all I would have to do is flash that card in order to avoid any repercussions involved with a positive drug test. Therefore I could be smoking a fat bowl of delicious ganja right now.

Not to mention it’d be sick to be able to just go to a dispensary and pick up whatever strain I want….

But seriously.. I’m not smoking crack, I’m smoking weed. It’s just a fuckin’ plant. Get over it, America.
